I've been lucky enough to attend three UK Shows

I've been very lucky to attend three Aquabats shows in the UK.

23/10/2005 - Nottingham, England @ Junktion7 with support from Never Heard of It, Grown At Home, The Chernobyl Children, Monkey Island.

I might be missing one or two bands, it was over 15 years ago and ended up being a 6 hours show by the end of it. I ended up bumping into a guy who would a couple years later become a lifelong friend. I believe the monster on stage was a giant rubbish bag, but luckily MC Bat Commander ensured us that he didn't need the security guard's help to thwart the evil of the rubbish man.

Another memory from that gig was the lead singer from Never Heard of It being a bit unlikeable and he went to stage dive and landed face first into someone's hand (or potentially fist).

Great gig though.

31/07/2006 - Leeds, England @ Joseph's Well with support from Allister, The Riverclub, Sonic Boom Six, Mumrah

This was a basement show and because of how unbelievably warm it was that evening, my brother and I spent most of the evening outside trying to keep cool in prep for band's show that night. I remember the pool toys got brought out in what felt to be a room too short for such things haha and I believe this was where I purchased the "CHARGE!! (Special One-Year Anniversary Edition)" CD/DVD combo.

14/04/2009 - Leeds, England @ The Cockpit with support from MC Lars, Failsafe?

The third and final gig I've been able to was this great gig at a fantastic venue, and was the first Aquabats gig I was able to take the missus to (fellow cadet, but I've forgotten her cadet name right now 😑) and she absolutely loved it with "The Wild Sea" being her highlight of the night.

It's quite sad as I don't believe the above three venues even exist anymore as I think they all shut down well before Covid times.

I did have tickets for the 11/02/18 show at Sheffield o2 Academy with Bowling For Soup and Army of Freshman, but there were issues with the lift/elevator so it wasn't possible for me and the missus to go due to her limited mobility. (Looking at my emails today I just realised I never requested the refund for those tickets lol).

So, does anyone here have any memories of UK Aquabats shows?

Yeah I thought it was a rarity at the time, I always preferred it over "Captain Hampton" for the more nautical themed songs.
