MADE BY...

To create The Falcondrive!, Aquabats guitarist Ian Fowles turned to former aerospace engineer, founder of RUDE TECH pedals and long-time member of The Aquabats! Aqaucadet corps, Jesse Rhew. Of Rhew, Fowles said, "Jesse knows pedal history and circuits very well, and going back and forth really understood what kind of pedal I wanted to develop: something well built, easy to use, and accessible to all skill levels."

Eaglebones Falconhawk!

Eaglebones Falconhawk, aka Ian Fowles, started playing guitar around 12 years old, inspired by his dad's record collection. He immediately started bands and was playing live within a year. During high school, Fowles played in his school's Jazz Ensemble, winning the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award. He also played in numerous local punk bands that recorded their own records and frequently played all over California. This pattern continued after high school and led to Ian forming the hardcore punk band Death By Stereo. As time went on, Ian toured as a hired gun in the emo pioneers Sense Field and Further Seems Forever. In 2006 Ian was recruited to join Rock N' Roll superheroes, The Aquabats! full-time under the stage name "Eaglebones Falconhawk." He also became a cast member and composer on the band's Emmy award-winning TV show, The Aquabats! Super Show! that ran for three seasons on the HUB Network and has since resurfaced on YouTube. Along the way, Ian continued to perform and record with numerous bands alongside musicians from groups such as AFI, Atreyu, The Vandals, Good Charlotte, Panic! At The Disco, Yo Gabba Gabba, The Groovie Ghoulies, and The Ramones. Most notably, Ian co-wrote songs and played guitar on the solo record and tours of My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way.

Ian has 20+ years of recording and touring experience, having played on Billboard charting albums and live to crowds in over 25 countries and almost every state. He has played the Warped Tour, Coachella, and Conan O'Brien. He has played the smallest, sweatiest club, the largest amphitheater, and everything in between. Ian is obsessed with guitar equipment and has been endorsed by numerous companies over the years. He is a recurring guest and host on Fender Play Live, a weekly live guitar educational program on YouTube produced by Fender guitars. Ian also writes a regular advice/opinion column for Guitar.com called "Major Keys."

Jesse Rhew / RUDE TECH

RudeTech is the brainchild of former aerospace engineer, Jesse Rhew. Before he left his backwoods laboratory to build chorus pedals full-time, he tested jet and rocket engines in a test chamber that simulates high-altitude and faster-than-sound airspeeds. Cool, but not a cool as rock stars.

Rhew applies his engineering background to each and every pedal RudeTech produces. Each pedal is assembled in a clean environment and proper mechanical connections are ensured before a solder is applied to the joint. Every RudeTech joint is both inspectable and built to last.

The Aquabats!

The Aquabats! formed in 1994 in Orange County as a way to have some harmless fun in a music scene that took itself too seriously. Their Paul Frank designed "power belts," trademark rash guards, black eye masks, "anti-negativity" helmets and onstage antics quickly caught on, earning the group a fiercely loyal following that spans generations. Their line-up and music is continuously evolving, including Blink 182's Travis Barker as former drummer "Baron Von Tito."

In 2012, the band debuted The Aquabats! Super Show!, a live-action musical action comedy television series which aired on the Hub Network. The show received eight multiple Daytime EMMY nominations and one win.

To date, The Aquabats' music library includes The Return of the Aquabats (1996), The Fury of the Aquabats! (1997), The Aquabats vs. The Floating Eye of Death (1999), Myths, Legends and Other Amazing Adventures, Vol. 2 (2000), Yo! Check Out This Ride! (EP, 2004) Charge!! (2005), Radio Down! (EP, 2010), Hi-Five Soup! (2011), and 2020's newest addition - full studio album Kooky Spooky... In Stereo!

Current members are Christian Jacobs as "The MC Bat Commander" (lead singer), Chad Larson as "Crash McLarson" (bass, vocals), Ian Fowles as "Eaglebones Falconhawk" (guitar), Richard Falomir as "Ricky Fitness" (drums), and James Briggs, as "Jimmy the Robot" (keyboards, woodwinds, vocals).

The Falcondrive! is a uniquely versatile dual-effect pedal, serving as two pedals in one. With the ability to blend overdrive and distortion, it covers vast tonal ground going from light Indie or Blues tones all the way into the heavier play of Punk and Metal sounds. With bright pink knobs, a pink LED, glittering powder coat, and day-glow printing, the case art by Thomas Fernandez features Eaglebones himself along with various mysteries of the universe, including his invisible bird companion The Dude. Its design hearkens back to classic comic book art and blacklight posters of the 70s, looking as super rad as it sounds.
